Community Outreach

At Foodbuy, we support various non-profit organizations, from food & toy drives, 5k charity runs, to hands on support. We work with great people that care about our local and global community.

People FIRST Meetings

On a monthly basis, the Foodbuy community comes together for updates from leaders across the organization, and the announcement of our monthly People FIRST winner. During this time, our in-person and virtual attendees share business accomplishments, celebrate work anniversaries, and play games to stay connected across departments.

Foodbuy Social Committee

Foodbuy’s Social Committee is an associate-led team from across departments. This group plans gatherings like pickleball sessions, happy hours, and virtual wellness seminars. Each month provides an opportunity to connect with coworkers outside of work.

Mentor Circles

You don’t have to grow alone at Foodbuy. Mentor Circles are an associate-led opportunity to connect with your coworkers across teams. Groups meet once a month or more to discuss topics like career growth, personal development, and industry education.

I am a Learning and Development Specialist at Foodbuy, also known as an Instructional Designer. I teach and develop training for Foodbuy associates.  The mentorship of my manager has been key to my success of learning the business and teaching it to others. I have taught people of all ages and in different settings my whole life, but I found my home here at Foodbuy, helping associates learn new skills and grow their careers.  At Foodbuy, the culture is accepting of associates who would like to grow and change jobs within the company, so my role as an instructional designer and teacher has a meaningful mission and purpose.
